Road sanation in the Riverside settlement

On April 6, 2020, members of the Local Action Group from Berane organized an action to sanation of the road in the Roma settlement of Riverside. There are 26 houses in this settlement, and the road so far has been in very poor condition, which has greatly affected the maintenance of hygiene in this Roma settlement.

In order to repair the damage from the consequences caused by the coronavirus epidemic, in the Bijelo Polje settlement Nedakusi, the supply of drinking water was temporarily provided. Bearing in mind that in the Roma settlement Nedakusi in the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, regular drinking water supply is one of the key problems that community members face every day, at the initiative of members of the Community Action Group (CAG), a drinking water tank was provided and installed.
Riverside Cleaning Action

Members of the Community Action Group from Berane organized an action of cleaning the Riverside settlement in Berane on March 15 and 17, 2020. Due to the large number of different types of waste, the hygiene in the Riverside settlement as well as its maintenance was a big problem.
Visit to Bijelo Polje and Berane

On March 10, we held a meeting with the Management of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje in the Municipal building.
The reason for the meeting was the topic of improving the housing conditions of Roma in Bijelo Polje, with a special emphasis on the settlement of Rakonje, where the extension of the main road is underway.
We discussed obstacles and proposals for a long-term solution to the issue that significantly burdens the Roma community, but also the leadership of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.
