Provided temporary water supply in the settlement Nedakusi

In order to repair the damage from the consequences caused by the coronavirus epidemic, in the Bijelo Polje settlement Nedakusi, the supply of drinking water was temporarily provided. Bearing in mind that in the Roma settlement Nedakusi in the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, regular drinking water supply is one of the key problems that community members face every day, at the initiative of members of the Community Action Group (CAG), a drinking water tank was provided and installed.

The action was organized within the programme ROMACTED - Promoting good governance and Roma empowerment at the local level. The members of the Local Action Group, with the help of the NGO Young Roma, will continue to initiate to the municipal authorities to solve this problem permanently, because the right to clean, drinking water is one of the basic human rights that must not be denied to anyone.

The ROMACTED programme is funded by the European Commission and the Council of Europe, and it is implemented in the Western Balkans countries (Montenegro, Serbia, BiH, Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia) and Turkey in more than 60 municipalities aiming to improve the position of Roma and Egyptians at the local level. In Montenegro, this Programme is implemented in eight municipalities: Berane, Bijelo Polje, Niksic, Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj. The supporting organization of the Programme for Montenegro is the NGO Young Roma.
